To avoid operating errors, Managing Director Matthias Knecht takes care to reduce the complexity for machine operators when selecting the implements. He has relied on OilQuick’s quick coupler systems for years and appreciates the new MRL visual indicator, which shows at a glance whether the attachment is correctly locked.
But what happens if the quick coupler lock is inadvertently not closed correctly despite the visual indicator, warning signal and cross-check?

THE SOLUTION
FALL PROTECTION
Regardless of whether the attachment is picked up incorrectly or the locking bolt is open: the OilQuick drop guard reliably prevents attachments from falling. The movable safety catch extends the quick coupler claw, which closes around the shaft on the attachment adaptor and holds the tool securely in place even when the quick coupler is open.
An innovation that also impresses experts in the field: The German Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry (BG Bau) awarded OilQuick the EuroTest Prize 2019 for “outstanding achievements in the areas of technical occupational safety and product safety”.
The OilQuick drop guard is supplied as standard on all new quick couplers, but can also be easily retrofitted to older models. Matthias Knecht also used this option for the six quick couplers in his fleet.

Over the years, this close collaboration has resulted in a development partnership: since 2016, feedback from Matthias Knecht and Marcus Leibfarth has been regularly incorporated into OilQuick innovations.
The retrofitting of the OilQuick drop guard is subsidized by the BG Bau, as is the retrofitting of the MRL visual display.
