Double honor: The brand relaunch of OilQuick Deutschland KG was awarded the International Creative Media Award (ICMA) in the “Brand Identities” category and the German Design Award in the “Brand Identity” category for “Excellent Communications Design”. The project was implemented by the international brand identity agency trumedia from Augsburg.

More than 400 projects from 20 countries were submitted for the ICMA, which was awarded for the 12th time this year. For ten years now, the German Design Award has been one of the world’s most recognized international design prizes. In 2022, the international jury of experts evaluated over 4,500 submissions from 63 countries. With this award, the OilQuick relaunch joins the ranks of award-winning projects from global brands such as Bahlsen, Hercules, Severin and Vodafone.

The OilQuick brand relaunch sharpens the brand identity and raises brand communication to an international level. The new look symbolizes the uniqueness of the quick coupler market leader and its product portfolio and conveys the company’s premium claim consistently and across all channels. At the same time, the communicative makeover, including a striking claim, ensures an authentic and emotional appeal to opinion leaders and a holistic brand experience.

The International Creative Media Award (ICMA) is an international competition for corporate media, books, magazines and corporate design and has been awarded by an international jury of experts for 12 years. Some of the jury members are former ICMA winners and are replaced every year. This year, 406 projects were submitted from 20 countries (Australia, Taiwan, People’s Republic of China, South Africa, USA, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Great Britain, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and Germany). The ICMA honors outstanding work, highlights global design trends and aims to promote creative exchange on an international level.

The German Design Award (GDA) has been honoring a wide variety of submissions in product and communication design for ten years. The German Design Award is presented by the German Design Council, the German brand and design authority, which was established as a foundation in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag to support the economy in achieving added brand value through design.
