SELECTION CRITERION
PRODUCTIVITY
Ivan and Tim Cindric have specialized in large construction sites in recent years. The HERHO team is responsible for the civil engineering work and the entire outdoor facilities on construction projects for large supermarket chains such as Edeka, REWE and Netto, from excavation, sewer and cable work to paving the parking lots. Ivan Cindric relies on a high-performance machine park to ensure that he can continue to work on schedule, with high quality and economically profitably despite increasing cost pressure and the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry.
” Efficient work processes and the high productivity of our machines are a prerequisite for remaining competitive in the demanding environment of large construction sites.”

THE CHALLENGE
LARGE CONSTRUCTION SITE
The scope of the HERHO construction sites is usually between 6 and 12 weeks, sometimes up to six months – with tight schedules and little leeway in terms of deadlines. Large construction sites also mean that huge quantities of material have to be moved, large areas paved and long routes covered. Every productivity adjustment therefore has a significant impact on overall efficiency.
The order situation is good and the Cindrics are always on the lookout for qualified employees in order to continue to grow and avoid capacity bottlenecks, but like many construction companies, HERHO is also struggling with the tight labor market. Ivan Cindric is convinced that the intelligent use of machines provides an effective lever for these challenges. That is why the first HERHO excavator was equipped with a tiltrotator over ten years ago.

THE SOLUTION
TILTROTATORWITH FIXED ATTACHMENT
At the beginning of 2022, Ivan and Tim Cindric decided to invest in their fleet and replace the aging 8-ton excavator with a more powerful excavator – again with a tiltrotator, of course, so that attachments can be rotated 360 degrees and swiveled up to 45 degrees.
After consulting with specialist dealers and extensive testing, the choice fell on the MX20 from Hydrema – currently the most compact 20-tonner on the market – with an OilQuick OQTRF-E19 HF OQ 70/55 tiltrotator in a fixed attachment. Junior boss Tim Cindric comments: “We deliberately opted for the fixed attachment, as we appreciate tilling and rotating for all our tasks, whether rough or fine work, excavation or slope modeling. The fixed attachment is therefore the ideal tiltrotator variant for us.”
THE SUCCESS
ONE TOOL. MANY ADVANTAGES.
The Hydrema-OilQuick duo has been proving its worth on its first major HERHO construction site since February 2022. Managing Director Ivan Cindric’s interim assessment is positive: “As we had already been using a tiltrotator before, the training period was short and the purchase paid for itself quickly: in the first two months alone, the more powerful excavator in combination with the OilQuick tiltrotator saved around two weeks of working time.” With the tiltrotator, the attachments can be positioned very precisely at almost any angle, as if with a “wrist”, with significantly fewer maneuvering operations for the excavator. This saves man and machine time, reduces fuel consumption and protects the subsoil and the environment.
Another major advantage is that a lot of manual reworking with the shovel is no longer necessary, which means that HERHO’s scarce personnel capacities can be used more efficiently and the shortage of skilled workers can be better cushioned. At the same time, the tiltrotator improves working conditions by significantly reducing physically demanding tasks and strenuous forced postures such as kneeling or bending. “The tiltrotator is not only an investment in our profitability, but also in the health and safety of our team – with the right technical helpers, working on construction sites no longer has to be a back-breaking job.”
Further attachments are planned to get even more out of the new star of the HERHO fleet: A hydraulic grab has already been ordered and Tim Cindric is planning to purchase a compressor plate next in order to utilize the full power and oil flow of the tiltrotator.

ZERO DEGREE
THE NEW TILTROTATOR STANDARD
Anyone like Ivan and Tim Cindric who has ever worked with Tiltrotator support no longer wants to work without it. The enthusiastic feedback from the market drives us to further improve this advanced tool. From our point of view, an important point of optimization was the wobbling of the attachment tools, which was previously due to the design: with conventional tiltrotators, the plane of rotation is inclined by 6 degrees – the revolutionary zero-degree technology puts an end to this. The parallel plane of rotation of the OilQuick tiltrotator enables the use of any attachment without any wobbling. Advantage: This makes the use of tiltrotators even safer and easier to learn.
Would you like to test a tiltrotator? Simply ask your OilQuick dealer – many rental fleets already have our tiltrotators in use. We will also be happy to help you personally in your search for a test opportunity!
